HOW TO PLACE YOUR QSL CARD IMAGE ON THE QRZ CDROM
If you'd like a picture of your QSL card, or any amateur radio related
photo placed on the CDROM, then please send it to us. Images placed
into the QRZ collection will conform to the following format:
The file type can be: .JPG or .GIF. The maximum image height OR width
size is 400 pixels, 400x300 preferred. The maximum file size on disk
should be less than 40 Kbytes. The picture must contain the callsign
of the station represented, and if necessary we will caption it.
The image should be in good taste, suitable for a family audience.
THE IMAGE MUST BE NAMED AFTER THE CALLSIGN IT REPRESENTS. For example,
N7SQD.JPG, AA7BQ.GIF, etc.. We will probably lose your image if it
has a name like JOHN.GIF and the picture has no callsign in it.
We can and do accept a variety of other image formats besides .JPG
and .GIF, including .BMP, .TIF, .PCX, and .EPS. We will try and
convert all images to .JPG before they are published.
The simplest way to send us your image is to put it in an email
attachment and send it to:
editor@qrz.com
We can also accept your image via FTP at: ftp.qrz.com
ftp://ftp.qrz.com/tmp
If you need to use postal mail, you can send us a floppy disk containing
the image. If you only have a card, we will scan it for you and place
it online. Be sure and send it in an envlope and not as a postcard -
too many get damaged that way. Please be advised that it may take a
couple of months before your card gets scanned and placed online.
Send your envelope or floppy disk to:
QRZ Best of DX,
8711 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd. #159,
Scottsdale, AZ 85255
Cards and floppy disks received will not be returned.
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
By submitting your photo or QSL card to QRZ or to Walnut Creek CDROM in
any format (digital or hard copy), you automatically waive any and all
copyrights, compensation and/or royalties to the image. You also give
QRZ and Walnut Creek CDROM full permission to reproduce the image(s),
in whole or in part, in any media. Your submission authorizes QRZ and
Walnut Creek CDROM to use your photograph or image as often, at any

permission.
